Alexander Berggruen is pleased to present Stephanie H. Shih: Domestic Bliss. This exhibition will open Wednesday, January 22, 2025 with a 5-7 pm reception at the gallery (1018 Madison Avenue, Floor 3, New York, NY). This is the artist’s first solo show with the gallery.
Stephanie H. Shih (b. 1986, Philadelphia, PA) has exhibited work at Cantor Arts Center, Stanford, CA; Berggruen Gallery, San Francisco, CA; Alexander Berggruen, New York, NY; Harkawik, New York, NY; Jeffrey Deitch, Los Angeles, CA; Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, Berkeley, CA; Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Santa Barbara, CA; Bradbury Art Museum, Jonesboro, AR; and the American Museum of Ceramic Arts, Pomona, CA. The artist has also been the recipient of numerous awards and residencies including the residency at The Corporation of Yaddo, Saratoga Springs, NY; the Arts/Industry Residency at John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Sheboygan, WI; Art+Design Residency at Manitoga, Garrison, NY; Silver Art Projects Residency, New York, NY; and Lighthouse Works Fellowship, Fishers Island, NY; among other accolades. Her work is included in the collections of Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University, Stanford, CA; Syracuse University Art Museum, Syracuse, NY; Bunker Artspace, West Palm Beach, FL; and New-York Historical Society, New York, NY, among others. Shih is currently based in Brooklyn, NY.
This is the gallery’s first solo show with Stephanie H. Shih. The gallery included her work in our presentation at the Dallas Art Fair (April 4-7, 2024) and the group show Levity (July 13-August 29, 2023).
